Through the Church Planter Training and Project Philip program, we get the right results: people baptised and new churches established.
Local believers, chosen by their churches, are empowered through “Church Planter Training” and with Scripture materials they establish a church in an unchurched area.
We know that local churches are essential to God’s plan for evangelising and discipling the world. A local church embraces seekers into their fellowship for help and answers. It then helps transform converts into disciples by providing an environment for them to grow in faith and use their God-given gifts.
| Local Church Planters know their people, the language and culture in the areas where they work. Their hearts are on fire to reach the lost. They put God's Word in the hands of those who are seeking. Then they follow up - teaching, answering questions and guiding the understanding of people until they are ready to put their faith in Christ. |

In 2006, more than 3,700 Church Planters are trained and 5,800 churches are established.

Otalvaro’s story
Otalvaro sighed as he surveyed his neighbourhood. Poverty, violence and drugs had taken their toll on his neighbours, leaving many in chains of addiction, hopelessness and spiritual darkness.
As a new believer, Otalvaro remembered well the pain of enslavement to sin-and the joy of being forgiven by Christ. He longed to share this freedom with his neighbours and to form a church in his community. Here, these seekers might hear the Gospel and grow in their faith.
Otalvaro longed to reach the unreached with the message of the Gospel, but he felt inadequate for the mission. "I didn't know how to undertake the task," he says.
Bible League's Church Planter Training program combines classroom training with hands-on practice. Within a few days after his first training module, Otalvaro was at work in his target area, applying the skills he had just learned.
